Love for Others

This morning my husband and I went to Walmart grocery shopping. We picked up our needed items and headed toward the cash registers.

As we walked, we passed an elderly lady. The lady reached out her hand to me and said this is for you. She gave me a gospel tract. I smiled and thanked her.

When I got home, I looked at the gospel tract. It was a simple homemade tract the lady had made herself. It brought tears to my eyes because that kind elderly lady chose me, a total stranger, out of others in the store and wanted me to have God's gift of salvation.

That lady was about the Lord's business, trying to get as many people into the kingdom as possible. Every Christian should love others and want to bring as many as they can into the fold.

Father, we ask you to go before us and soften the hearts in our mission field. Sometimes it seems we are on a battlefield, Lord. I had given out tracts before and had someone refuse the tract. Help us to have a loving and caring heart for the lost. Equip us, father, to do your will. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
