The free Gift

     My husband and I recently went to a Wendy's restaurant for brunch. We ordered our meal. The manager told his employees to fill our order but not to take any other orders. Their computers were down. We tried to pay for our meal. Since their computers were down, they didn't know how much to charge us. They gave our meals to us free of charge.

     It was a blessing to get a free meal. God, in his goodness and mercy, freely gave us a  gift that lasts a lifetime. Romans 6:23 says For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

     All you have to do is believe God's Son Jesus came to the earth and lived and died as a sacrifice for our sins and pray and ask Jesus to come into your heart and forgive you of your sins. Jesus is now living with his father in Heaven and will one day come and get us to live with him in Heaven. Will you accept God's gift today?
